Made to order

Eight custom pieces for six customers, and three of them came back for a second. Each one started as a message describing a problem, often with measurements and photos of the build, and ended in their machine.

The first set on his tubes, another angle

The brief

Christian already had our tube combs and asked for six to fit the thicker tubes of his ZOTAC Gaming RTX 5090 AIO, in translucent grey, with the ZOTAC Gaming claw mark on each clip. They are built from our own branded comb design, the family behind the Corsair, ASUS ROG and MSI combs.

How it came together

The first set followed the 12.4 mm he quoted. When his tubes measured 16 mm, we rescaled the combs at no charge and shipped three sizes, six clips each, so one would fit exactly. One did.

What we made

Fits
ZOTAC Gaming RTX 5090 AIO tubing, 16 mm
Set
6 clips in each of 3 sizes
Openings
13.1, 14.8 and 16.9 mm (measured from the file)
Finish
Translucent grey PETG, claw mark recessed into each clip

“The logo turned out great”

The brief

Dorian wanted to cool the hard drives at the bottom of his case: two Noctua NF-A6x25 PWM fans side by side, screwed onto a 140 mm fan mount, no taller than 8 cm, on a thin plate that takes the fans’ eight anti-vibration mounts. No grille, because his case already has a filter and a mesh front.

How it came together

He sent the exact hole positions and we drew the plate to them. He approved the design the same day; one section he did not need came off before printing.

What we made

Fits
A 140 mm fan position; two 60 × 25 mm fans
Size
139 × 80 mm, 2 mm plate (measured from the file)
Holes
50 mm fan spacing; 124.5 mm for the 140 mm mount
Colour
Black

“my hard drives are going to be in heaven.”

Twin 40 mm fan mount for an HBA card

Its page on [creations]2 × 40 mm HBA card fan mount
Twin 40 mm fan mount for an HBA card: Mount
View

Rendered from the file we printed. Fans, airflow and hot-air trails are illustrative.

The brief

Scott needed air blowing straight up onto the heatsink of an HBA card, in the same orientation as our 120 mm PCIe mount but with Noctua NF-A4x20 fans. It is a hard part to find, so we drew one.

How it came together

The heatsink is long, so it became two fans, centred under it. The mount sits about 1.1 slots deep so the slot below stays free, and the bracket was adjusted after Scott measured his card.

What we made

Fits
A full-height PCIe slot; two 40 × 20 mm fans
Depth
About 1.1 slots
Size
121 × 122 × 25 mm (measured from the file)

120 mm airflow shroud for a turned CPU cooler

Its page on [creations]120 mm airflow shroud
120 mm airflow shroud for a turned CPU cooler: Shroud
View

Rendered from the file we printed. Fans, airflow and hot-air trails are illustrative.

The brief

The NAS in Dean’s server rack turns its CPU 90 degrees, so the air cooler blows upward, with only about 45 mm of room above it. The shroud sits on the cooler’s fan, turns the hot air toward the rear exhaust and keeps it away from the power supply. It mounts with the cooler’s own fan clips.

How it came together

The first version came together in a day. The second dropped the screw-access holes and extended the top of the duct. A slanted back was considered and left out, so nothing would get in the way of the cooler’s airflow.

What we made

Fits
A 120 mm fan on a CPU air cooler
Height
40.8 mm, inside his 45 mm (measured from the file)
Colour
Black

“The fan shround you made has also been perfect, no more changes needed.”

    Fans fitted, before installation

The brief

Dean’s rack has a cutout on top, 32 cm wide and 5 cm tall, with screw holes 33 cm apart. He asked about four fans; we recommended five, because four left gaps between them.

How it came together

At 340 mm it was too long for the print bed, so it was printed in two pieces and joined.

What we made

Fits
A 32 × 5 cm rack vent, screw holes 33 cm apart; five 60 mm fans
Size
340 × 90 × 29.5 mm (measured from the file)
Colour
White
